SF₆ gas-insulated tank circuit breakers are high-voltage switching devices in which the arc-extinguishing chamber and main components are housed inside a sealed tank filled with SF₆ gas. This design ensures high electrical strength, stable performance, and long-term operation even under harsh climatic conditions.
Dead-tank circuit breakers are widely used in outdoor substations, high-voltage networks, and industrial power complexes where maximum reliability and resistance to external influences are required.
Applications of SF₆ tank-type circuit breakers
Protection of high-voltage networks against short-circuit currents.
Switching of lines, transformers, and busbar sections.
Operation in outdoor substations rated 35–800 kV.
Ensuring stable operation of the power system and reducing the risk of accidents.
Use in industrial and power-generating facilities.
